Weak log-Sobolev and L^p weak Poincaré inequalities for general symmetric forms

Abstract

Weak log-Sobolev and L^p weak Poincaré inequalities for general symmetric forms are investigated by using newly defined Cheeger’s isoperimetric constants. Some concrete examples of ergodic birth-death processes are also presented to illustrate the results.
