Lu Gao, PhD in Civil Engineering, is an assistant professor at the Department of Construction Management, University of Houston. He was awarded B.E. in Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2005, M.S. and PhD in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 and 2011. His research interests and areas include civil infrastructure management, transportation system analysis, pavement maintenance and rehabilitation, and construction safety.

Wen Ling, was born in 1963. He holds a PhD of engineering. He is a professor, doctorial supervisor, national model worker and national outstanding post-doctorial candidate. He is listed in the New Century Talent Project and receives special government allowances of the State Council. He is the President & CEO of Shenhua Group Corporation Limited. His research interests and areas include coal-based energy engineering and engineering management.

He Liu is a professor-engineer at the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, Petro China. He is mainly engaged in the technology management of petroleum engineering, and scientific research in the capacity increasing and modification of low permeability reservoirs, separate layer injection production, wellbore control engineering technology, etc.

An-lin Shao
An-lin Shao, is the general manager of Ansteel Mining Group, president of the Metallurgical Mines Association of China, professor of engineering and dean of the Mining Institute of Liaoning University of Science and Technology. Shao proposed the “grade decision-based multi-system integration” engineering management mode and this mode had a successful application in the construction project in the eastern area with low-grade iron of Anshan Mine which is the first super large mine with low-grade iron. Shao undertook several research and development projects about mining and processing, promoting the development of the low-grade iron. Shao received 2 second-class prizes of the National Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress, 1 first-class of the National Management Innovation Awards, and many prizes at provincial and ministerial levels. Shao has two invention patents and has published 4 books and as many as 15 articles in major journals. His research interests and areas include mining technology management, mining construction management, and innovation management.

Da-wei Zhang
Da-wei Zhang, born in 1957, is the Director of the Evaluation Center of Mineral Resources and Reserves, Ministry of Land and Resources. Zhang mainly works at resources survey and assessment, resources management and policies research in the field of petroleum. Since 2003, he has organized many assessment projects, such as “New Round Oil and Gas Resources Assessment in China,” “Survey and Assessment of Oil and Gas Favorable Points of China,” “Global Oil and Gas Geology Assessment and Favorable Region Choice,” “China Shale Gas Resources Survey and Assessment,” and “Shale Gas Survey and Assessment Pilot Test Area.” His research interests and areas include mineral resources management and mineral resources assessment.
