Xiao-hong Chen

Xiao-hong Chen is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University, a deputy director of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Administrative Committee of Hunan Province. Her research areas include metal mineral resources utilization, and resource-conserving and environment-friendly engineering management.

Mao-run Feng

Mao-run Feng is a professor-engineer at the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, an invited professor at Tongji University and Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests and areas include bridge engineering and engineering management. Feng, in the 1990s, chaired the design of Jingyin Suspension Bridge over the Yangtse River (which, completed in 1999, was awarded the National Gold Medal of Engineering Design).

Zhi-huan Fu

Zhi-huan Fu, Minister of Railways from 1998 to 2003, is a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a member of Academy of Transportation Sciences of Russia. His research interests include railway transport administration, railway locomotives and the construction of a comprehensive transportation system. Fu chaired the development of Shaoshan 1 to 4 electric locomotives and the first electric motor train unit, chaired the four major speeding-ups of passenger trains on busy lines that led to great social and economic benefits, organized the systematic development of complete sets of technical equipment such as the rolling stock, and contributed to the forming of a rolling stock industry with strong technical development capacities based on domestic resources. In recent years, Fu conducted research on energy saving and environmental conservation in transportation and the construction of a comprehensive transportation system, published works such as Research on Long Term Energy Saving in Chinese Transportation, and Research on Administrative System of Comprehensive Transportation.

Wen-rui Hu

Wen-rui Hu is a professor-engineer at the Advisory Center of China National Petroleum Corporation, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His research areas include exploration and development of oil and gas of low permeability, and exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas, and engineering management.

This research was supported by grants from the Chinese Academy of Engineering on developmental strategy on oil and gas supply (2013-XZ-23).

Guang-zhiJia is an associate research fellow at the Institution of Scientific and Technological Information, Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences. Ren-huai Liu is a professor at Jinan University, and a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering. His research areas include management science, analysis and applications of plate and shell structure. Liu has already published 15 monographs and more than 300 scientific papers in his research areas.

Qing-zhong Luo

Qing-zhong Luo is a research fellow and a department director at the Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences. His main research interests include the strategy of railway development, the railway reform, scientific and technological development of transport and railways, and the development strategy of transportation.

 

Yi Qian

Yi Qian is a professor of environmental engineering at Tsinghua University, a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, a vice-president of the China Association of Science and Technology (CAST), a vice-chairman of the Committee of Environmental and Resources Protection of the National People’s Congress of China, and a member of the Board of Directors of World Resource Institute. Her research interests include implementation of cleaner production, circular economy and sustainable development strategy in China. She is the author of 15 books and more than 150 papers.

Jian Song

Jian Song is a distinguished scientist in the fields of control theory, system engineering and aerospace technology. He received Candidate of Science in 1960 from MBTY, and Doctor of Science in 1990 from the Moscow National Technical University. Song’s previous positions include the Vice Minister and Chief Engineer-Scientist of Ministry of Astronautics, Chairman of State Science and Technology Commission, State Councilor of the government of the People’s Republic of China, Chairman of National Environmental Protection Committee of State Council, Vice Chairman of State Leading Group of Science and Technology, President of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice Chairman of the 9th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and First Vice Chairman of Committee on Academic Degrees of China’s State Council. Now he is Honorary Chairman of Presidium of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chairman of All-China Environment Federation.

Song’s academic titles include Member of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Member of the International Astronautic Academy, Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Engineering, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and the Yugoslav Academy of Engineering.

 

Kai Sun

Kai Sun is a post-doctoral researcher at Jinan University. His research areas include engineering management informatiza-tion, information systems planning, inter-organizational information systems. Sun has published 2 monographs and more than 30 scientific papers.

 

An Wang

An Wang is a professor-engineer at China National Coal Group Corp, a professor and doctoral supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His research interests include coal exploration and engineering management.

Ke-changXie is a professor at Taiyuan University of Technology, a professor at Tsinghua University, and a member and a vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His research areas include coal chemical engineering, and coal development strategy. Xie chaired 2 “973” research projects and possesses over 40 patents. Xie is the author of 5 monographs and over 400 papers, the winner of 7 provincial prizes and 2 national prizes.

Yu-zhuo Zhang

Yu-zhuo Zhang, currently the president and CEO of Shenhua Group Corporation, is a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a member of the IEA Coal Industry Advisory Board. His research interests include coal mining, coal clean conversion and engineering management. Zhang chaired many large-scale coal chemical projects and possesses many patents.

Zheng-song Zhao

Zheng-song Zhao is a senior engineer at China Academy of Transportation Sciences. His research interests and areas include transportation engineering and transportation management.

 

Gao-feng Zhu

Gao-feng Zhu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as a vice Minister of Posts and Telecommunications from 1982 to1994, and as the executive vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering from 1994 to 2002. His research interests include communications technology, technological innovation, and engineering education. Zhu is the author of many papers. Zhu, in the recent years, published many papers on industrial structure, technological innovation and engineering education.
