Energy Materials is a gold open-access monthly journal founded by OAE Publishing in 2021 and has been co-operated by Southeast University since December 2023. The journal focuses on frontier research in materials science for energy conversion and storage, publishing original research articles, reviews, and communications. Its scope covers key areas including batteries and supercapacitors, fuel cells, solar energy utilization, hydrogen energy technologies, and advanced materials characterization.

The journal is currently indexed in ESCI, CAS, Dimensions, Lens, and CNKI. It has a 2024 Impact Factor of 11.2 (JCR Q1) and was classified into CAS Zone II in 2025.
