Abstract

Objective: to study the characteristics of resilience in military personnel with an adaptation disorder and their relationship with personality characteristics and neuropsychic resistance. Materials and methods. The study involved 30 males aged 19 to 24 years. The main group included 15 people, conscription servicemen, people with adaptation disorder, and who were being treated at a psychiatric clinic. The control group included 15 people, civilians who did not have an adaptation disorder. The following psychodiagnostic techniques were used: Lazarus Copying Test; Giessen Personality Questionnaire; Methodology “Prognoz-2”; Muddy Vitality Test, revised by Leontiev. Results. Military personnel suffering from an adaptation disorder more often than healthy civilians lose self-control and overestimate the situation in a positive way. The level of neuropsychic resistance in servicemen with an adaptation disorder is lower than in the control group. In terms of vitality, no significant differences were found. Conclusion. Resistance of military personnel to psychogenic injuries depends, first of all, on the personal qualities of a military man. For the rehabilitation of servicemen with an adaptation disorder, the development of personal attitudes, which are included in the concept of resilience, can play an important role (bibliography: 8 refs).
