Computational modeling of relaxation self-excited oscillations in the double-mass system with friction under alternating loading

Abstract

The paper examines double-mass system with two Coulomb friction sources under alternating loading. This problem has been solving on the basis of stepwise computational procedure with regularizing and iterations at each step. The paper contains comparative study of modeling results subject to self-excited oscillations for harmonic and linear loading laws.
