Abstract

The paper presents the results of a survey of patients suffering from combined lesion of the temporomandibular joint and the parotid gland. The analysis of the incidence of chronic inflammatory and dystrophic pathology of the parotid salivary glands in patients with musculo-articular dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint. The results suggest an association of the pathological process in the parotid gland and the presence of changes in the internal structures of the temporomandibular joint.
