Abstract

The analysis of the objective periodontal studies of the patients with mandibular fractures involving the dentition was performed. The manifestations of the pathological processes in oral mucosa were shown to depend on the treatment modality. The negative impact of the intermaxillary fixation on the frequency and severity of the inflammatory and destructive processes in the marginal periodontum affecting the health of the oral cavity has been demonstrated.
