IMPACT OF PARTIAL AND COMPLETE ADETIA IN THE MENTALLY ILL ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF OBTURATIVE ASPHYXIA
The results of investigation of cases of death from obturative asphyxia of the mentally ill in Republican clinical psychiatric hospital of a name V.M. Bekhterev (Kazan) in the period from 1996 to 2010. According to archival medical histories revealed the lack of communication obstructive asphyxia therapy with neuroleptics, neurological diseases and form of mental pathology. The deceased patients detected partial and complete adentia: a suggestion about the influence of the defects of dental rows on the development of асфиксий. Doctors-dentist, rendering assistance to the mentally ill, it is recommended to pay attention to the prevention of periodontal diseases and complications of caries of teeth as the main reasons for the removal of teeth.
