Abstract

The results of a clinical trial of the new method for the tooth preparation in the patients with periodontitis are presented. The study has demonstrated that the use of the proposed method makes it possible to relieve psychological stress experienced by the patients with periodontitis just before the tooth preparation for artificial crowns. In addition, the method being considered permits to accurately determine the amount of the hard tooth tissue removed during preparation and thereby to avoid damage to the pulp and periodontium.
