Abstract

The biomicroscopic study of the fundus of the eye in the patients presenting with severe inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region including odontogenic phlegmons revealed marked changes in the vascular pattern indicative of progressive cerebral oedema and associated intracranial hypertension cased by intoxication of the central nervous system.
