Endoscopic characterization of the parotid gland in patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction
The article presents the results of a sialoendoscopic examination of patients suffering from various forms of internal temporomandibular joint disturbances. The authors conducted an analysis of the frequency of chronic inflammatory and dystrophic pathology of the parotid gland in patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction. The results demonstrate a correlation between a pathologic process in the parotid gland and the presence of changes in the internal structures of the temporomandibular joint.
