Abstract

A method for the rehabilitative treatment of chronic dorsalgia by passive underwater vertical traction of the spine using an aquabelt and aquatic gymnastics is described. Considerable improvement of pain syndrome, mobility and muscular force of the spine and extremities was achieved in 94.3% of the 114 patients compared with 41.7% of the 36 patients in the control group.
