THE SKIN AND THE SUN
Published data on UV radiation spectra, favorable and negative effects of UV radiation on human beings are presented. Classifications of the skin by phototypes are discussed. V.V.Vladimirov ’s classification by skin reaction to UV exposure is suggested, which should become universally acknowledged in Russia. The use of photoprotective means is discussed.
