Abstract

500 workers of locomotive brigades were examined to study the prognostic competence. It was found that the predictive competence of locomotive crew is a complex phenomenon, which includes the intellectual, emotional and behavioral characteristics, which is associated with the absence of neurotic disorders, the prevalence of the intellectualization as a type of psychological protection in combination with harmonious traits of character and low severity of aggressive behaviors. Due to the importance of a competence in forecasting to the professional activity of workers of locomotive brigades it is necessary to diagnose these psychological characteristics.
