МASCULAR HUPERTONIA: MECHANISMS OF FORMATION, CLINICAL PRESENTATION, OPPORTUNITIES OF PHARMACEUTICAL CORRECTION

Abstract

The article deals with the physiological basis of muscle tone regulation, as well as spasticity, the impact on the tone of spinal-supraspinal mechanisms of peripheral regulation, the meaning of the gamma-anterior horn neurons of the spinal cord, central regulation, including the pyramidal system. We considered the pathology of the regulation of muscle tone and its symptoms: spasticity, muscle spasm and pain. Receptor «targets» of different pharmacological groups of muscle relaxants are presented.
