There was studied the role of cerebral lesions, caused due to light whiplash cervical trauma in pathogenesis of clinical manifestations of chronic whiplash associated syndrome. There had been performed two-stage clinical and instrumental investigation of 147 patients with whiplash cervical trauma of stages I or II (according to Quebec classification), either with combined with closed craniocerebral injury or without it. It was shown that combined craniocerebral trauma leads to chronization of symptoms: with isolated whiplash cervical trauma chronic whiplash syndrome developed in 24% of patients, with combined trauma of head and neck - in 61% of patients.
