Report on the symposium "Arthroplasty of large joints"
Orthopedists from Russia, CIS countries, Switzerland, Germany, Austria took part in the work of the symposium, which took place on November 12-14, 1998 at CITO. Issues of total hip and knee arthroplasty, indications for arthroplasty, surgical technique, long-term results, complications, as well as prospects for the development of the problem were discussed. Demonstrative operations were performed on the hip and knee joints using modern endoprosthesis designs from Plus Endoprothetik AG.
