Abstract

Approaches to assessing the effectiveness of medical care for victims with polytrauma are considered. Attention is focused on the methods based on the comparison of real and proper treatment results. Specific algorithms used for this purpose are presented. It has been shown that an approach based on the use of data on specific victims is adequate. It allows the system to obtain reliable estimates / avoid the influence on the calculation results of the heterogeneity (ps / severity of the condition) of the contingents of victims treated in various medical institutions. The discussed methods can be used to assess the quality of the work of medical institutions and specific specialists, the effectiveness of treatment methods, to study the epidemiology of injuries, licensing of hospitals, in insurance medicine, etc.
