The first experience of reconstructive microsurgical operations in patients with traumatic spinal cord disease

Abstract

The results of microsurgical operation on revascularization and reinnervation of spinal cord performed in 17 patients with traumatic spinal cord disease are presented. Surgical technique was elaborated at CITO. Examination methods are described. Complex program of preoperative management, intraoperative anesthesiologic provision, infusion-transfusion support and postoperative management of patients has been elaborated. This program promotes the homeostasis and optimum functioning of microanastomoses.
