The state of antitumor resistance in uterine myoma patients
We studied the state of antitumor resistance in patients with uterine myoma. Specific immune defense was assessed by the relative and absolute numbers of T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood, the ratio of subpopulations of T-helpers, T-helpers and T-suppressors, delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions with 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCHB) and inhibition of leukocyte migration. Non-specific resistance was investigated by the activity of complement and its third fraction, as well as daily excretion of 17-OX. In order to clarify the state of the pituitary-adrenal system, dexamethasone suppression test was performed by determining the excretion of 17-OX after a two-day administration of the drug at a dose of 0.125 mg 4 times a day.
