Treatment of acute sensorineural hearing loss of viral etiology
Influenza and acute respiratory viral infections account for 21 to 37.4% of the total structure of acute sensorineural hearing loss as causative factors.
The mechanism of acute cochleitis development can be explained by characteristic viral lesions of small vessels and subsequent pathological anatomical changes in the inner ear tissues: increased permeability of the vascular wall, extravasation and edema, which cause increased intralabyrinthine pressure, intraocular conduction disorders and acute receptor hypoxia.
