Peculiarities of immunoregulation in patients with hepatitis B

Abstract

In recent years, immunological and immunogenetic examinations have been given much attention in the system of mass medical check-ups and population dispensaries. Program of immunogenetic screening and knowledge about the immune status of the population, the specific weight in its structure of persons with certain genotypes and immunological disorders will allow to approach one of the urgent tasks of public health - assessment of health status and risk of certain diseases in representatives of different HLA genotypes. Recent studies have demonstrated the fundamental role of the human histocompatibility system (HLA) in the regulation of immune response to allo- and autoantigens, recognition of "own" and "alien", immune killing of target cells infected with a virus, maintenance of immunological homeostasis. HLA antigens are used as the most informative genetic markers in assessing susceptibility to many diseases. More than 100 HLA-associated diseases are known to date.
