Waldstein Towards the Prevention of Postpartum Eclampsia. (Ztbl. F. Gyn. No. 9, 1933)
Already in 1927, the author pointed out that in order to combat postpartum eclampsia, artificial delivery of women predisposed to eclampsia is needed. According to his observations, severe preeclamptics, promptly resolved, are less likely to suffer from seizures after childbirth than women with mild preeclamptic symptoms after spontaneous childbirth. This, according to W., serves as evidence of the preventive effect of operative delivery. With the author's method, only 5 cases were observed. eclampsia — 4 lungs, one severe. The frequency, therefore, fell from 2.1% to 0.46% compared to the previous one.
