Abstract

Troisier and Monaldi (Rg. Med., 1932, 96), having changed Lowenstein's method, performed blood cultures of patients who had one or another infectious disease. A.a. describe 3 cases, from the blood of which VC were cultivated: 1st patient with endocarditis (blood culture produced non-hemolytic streptococcus) died of septic cerebral infarction, autopsy did not reveal a single tbc focus. Nth. Croupous pneumonia (pneumococcus), ending in a crisis on the 6th day.
