Surgical treatment of umbilical cord hernias
Hernia funiculi umbilicalis. a hernia of the umbilical cord is a developmental defect, a consequence of underdevelopment of the abdominal integument in the navel, "while the peritoneum appears to be already formed" (Tikhov).
