Some vital issues in the fight against glaucoma
Glaucoma is a common condition. Almost 22% of all blind people have lost their sight from glaucoma. The successful use of clinical examination in a number of chronic diseases led to the idea of the advisability of using this method in the fight against glaucoma. The fight against this complex and serious disease is still insufficient. As a rule, glaucoma is diagnosed late; examination of persons with suspected glaucoma and patients with glaucoma is often limited only to testing visual acuity and palpation of intraocular pressure. Treatment is often limited to the stereotypical prescription of a single miotic drug, usually pilocarpine.
