Prevention of postpartum endometritis by electrostimulation of the uterus

Abstract

The most frequent manifestation of postpartum infection is endometritis, the frequency and severity of which are directly dependent on the duration of labor, the characteristics of the labor act and the duration of the anhydrous interval [2-4]. In the pathogenesis of postpartum endometritis, a large role belongs to the violation of the contractile activity of the uterus [1]. Therefore, for the prevention of postpartum endometritis, a number of authors recommend the use of uterine contractions in the first days of the postpartum period [5, 6].
