Lumbar puncture in epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis in infants
According to observations of N.M. Frishman, lumbar punctures in epidemic meningitis in infants, even if performed repeatedly, are safely tolerated by patients, if they release a small amount of fluid. Moreover, they sometimes have a favorable effect on the disease in the sense of weakening some of its seizures.
