Clinical observations of 239 patients operated on for meniscus injuries showed the advisability of immobilizing the limb with a plaster splint for 7-10 days after surgery with the application of a compressive cotton gauze "dryer" on the joint in the first 2 days. From day 2 after surgery, all patients were prescribed physical therapy, which was combined with therapeutic exercise.
