Some features of acute gastroenteritis caused by vibrio NAG
In recent years, the attention of epidemiologists, microbiologists and clinicians has been attracted by vibrios that do not agglutinate with cholera O-serum (NAG vibrios). According to the description of a number of authors, NAG-infection often proceeds as gastroenteritis and enteritis. Mild and moderate forms prevail, with nausea, vomiting, loose stools from 2 to 10 times a day, moderate intoxication. However, in 3-5% of patients, the infection takes on severe forms, with signs of dehydration, which requires intensive rehydration therapy.
