Abstract

The library of the Society of Physicians at Kazan University was founded in 1868 at the same time as the Society. Her first books were the works of the Society and literature received from other societies in exchange. The library was headed by professors and doctors of medicine A. V. Petrov (1868-1874), V. P. Ivanov (1874-1877), V. D. Orlov (1877-1883), A. GI. Arnoldov (1883-1886), A. A. Panormov (1886-1889), M. V. Kazansky (1889-1913), V. P. Nebolyubov (since 1913).
