Abstract

The eosinopenic reaction of peripheral blood in response to the introduction of ACTH (Thorn's test) makes it possible to roughly judge the functional capabilities of the adrenal cortex. This eosinopenic test becomes more reliable with repeated use of drugs that stimulate steroidogenesis (Felber et al.).
