Streptocide in the treatment of otogenic septicopyemia
Preparations of streptocide are widely used in various departments of medical practice, particularly in otorhinolaryngology. The healing properties of red streptocide in various forms of inflammatory condition of the tonsillar apparatus are well known. Successful application of streptocide preparations at various manifestations of streptococcal infection unwittingly directed the attending physician's thought on application of this type of therapy also in a clinic of otogenic sinustrombosis, complicated with septicopyemic syndrome.
