Abstract

A number of recent works have shown the predominant value of Sp. pallida in the formation of Wa-reagins, as well as the high sensitivity and specificity of the antigen from these spirochetes in the experiment of complement binding by the serum of syphilitics (Klopstock, Blumenthal, Hecht, Geltser and Popov, Getgens, Markardt), therefore the authors considered it expedient to study the possibility of using the antigen from pale spirochetes for serodiagnosis of syphilis.
