Mass alcoholism and the fight against it
Despite the fact that until the last time in the life of our country alcohol played a very prominent role, the huge social and state phenomenon - alcoholism - which is closely connected with it, did not receive much attention from wide circles, both public and medical. Suffice it to say that not a single medical congress was convened dedicated to this great nightmarish phenomenon, and the convocation of congresses serves as a vivid indicator of the tension of public attention to this or that issue.
