Abstract

The article deals with a technique of modeling of deformation properties of soil bearing surfaces using the finite elements method in nonlinear dynamic formulation for problems related to the passability assessment of wheeled vehicles. Using of the technique will allow to specify the calculation of mutual deformations of tyre and soil bearing surface, to forecast the level of passability of wheeled vehicles depending on the intended area of operation at design stage.
