Your manuscript: this should be an editable file including main text, figures, and tables, or supporting files—whichever you prefer. All required sections that should be contained in your manuscript are listed below:
l Figures and tables should have legends. Figures should be uploaded in the highest resolution possible (at least 300 dpi) and submitted as separate files in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG format. If the figures are not of sufficiently high quality your manuscript may be delayed. Each figure must be clearly numbered and cited in the text. Composite figures should be labeled (A, B, C…) consistently. Tables should be included in the Main Document or uploaded separately in Word or Excel format. Use clear, concise titles and include explanatory footnotes when necessary. Each table must be clearly numbered and cited in the text. Please include titles or legends of figures and tables in the Main Document.
l References This journal uses AMA reference style; as the journal offers Free Format submission, however, this is for information only and you do not need to format the references in your article. This will instead be taken care of by the typesetter. Reference examples are listed:

l Supplemental file NOT for Review Confidential materials (e.g., conflict of interest forms, or ethical approval documents) should be uploaded here. These will not be shared with reviewers.
l Co-author details, List all authors in the correct order with their institutional affiliations, department names, city, and country.
l Example format:

Corresponding author’s name, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, [Institution Name], [City] [Postal Code], [Country], E-mail: email address.
l Statements relating to ethics and integrity policies, which may include any of the following:
l Abstract The abstract should briefly summarize the objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions of the study. It must be self-contained and should not contain references or undefined abbreviations.
l Graphical Abstract with description (optional) A Graphical Abstract (GA) could be submitted to summarize the main findings of the study in a clear, visual form. The GA will appear in the online version of the published article and should help readers quickly understand the key message of the work. The graphical abstract should be a single, concise, self-explanatory image that clearly represents the core results or concepts of the paper. The image should be submitted as a separate file in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of 600 dpi. If the GA is submitted, a brief caption (≤ 100 words) will also be asked to provide to explain the figure content. Authors must ensure that all images are original or properly credited, and that permission has been obtained for any reused material.
l Keywords Provide 3–8 keywords that accurately reflect the topic of the manuscript. Use terms that are searchable and standardized.
l Key points/Highlights Authors are encouraged to provide 3–5 bullet points summarizing the most important findings or contributions of the manuscript. These highlights should clearly convey the novelty, clinical relevance, or potential impact of the study.
l Acknowledgments (including funding information) Authors should acknowledge all sources of financial and material support as well as individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship (e.g., technical assistance, editorial help, or general support), for example:
“Acknowledgments: Author A has received honoraria from Company Z. Author B is currently receiving a grant (#12345) from Organization Y and is on the speaker's bureau for Company A.”
Please specify funding sources, grant numbers, and the names of funding agencies, if applicable.
If there are no acknowledgments, include the following statement:
“The authors would like to acknowledge no specific funding or assistance for this work.”
l Ethics Statement Manuscripts involving human subjects must be conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, and informed consent must be obtained. Animal experiments must comply with the ARRIVE guidelines and adhere to relevant local and international animal welfare regulations.
Ethics Approval: Authors must explicitly state in the manuscript that they have obtained approval from an Institutional Review Board (or Ethics Committee) and provide the approval number. If ethical approval was not required, a clear justification must be stated in the manuscript.
l Clinical Trial Registration All randomized controlled trials must be registered in a public registry. Please provide the registry name and registration number on the title page of your manuscript. Acceptable registries include, but are not limited to, ClinicalTrials.gov, EudraCT, and the WHO International Trial Registry Network.
l Reporting Guidelines To ensure scientific rigor and transparency, we recommend that authors follow relevant reporting guidelines for their field, such as:
l CONSORT: Reports of randomized clinical trials should follow the recommendations given in the Consolidated Standards of Reported Trials (CONSORT) statement http://www.consort-statement.org
l PRISMA – Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses http://www.prisma-statement.org
l STROBE – Strengthening the Reporting of Observational studies in Epidemiology http://www.strobe-statement.org
l STEGA – Strengthening the Reporting of Genetic Associations http://www.med.uottawa.ca/public-health-genomics/web/eng/strega.html
l CARE – Strengthening the Reporting of Case Reports https://www.care-statement.org/checklist
l Authorship and Contribution Each person listed as an author must have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the intellectual content, data analysis, and/or writing of the manuscript and be able to take public responsibility for it. All authors must have reviewed and approved the final submitted manuscript.
Please list each author's specific contributions in a footnote. We recommend using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) standard, such as "Conceptualization," "Methodology," "Data Curation," "Writing – original draft," and "Supervision," to clearly define each author's role.
l Conflicts of Interest ENT Discovery requires that all authors disclose any potential sources of conflict of interest. Any interest or relationship, financial or otherwise, that might be perceived as influencing an author’s objectivity is considered a potential source of conflict of interest. These must be disclosed when directly relevant or indirectly related to the work that the authors describe in their manuscript. Potential sources of conflict of interest include but are not limited to patent or stock ownership, membership of a company board of directors, membership of an advisory board or committee for a company, and consultancy for or receipt of speaker’s fees from a company. The existence of a conflict of interest does not preclude publication in this journal.
If the authors have no conflict of interest to declare, they must also state this at submission. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to review this policy with all authors and to collectively list in the cover letter (if applicable) to the Editor-in-Chief, in the manuscript (in the footnotes, Conflict of Interest or Acknowledgments section), and in the online submission system ALL pertinent commercial and other relationships.
l Permission to Reproduce Material from Other Sources If figures, tables, images, or text have been previously published or are adapted from other sources, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder (usually the original publisher or author) prior to submission. Proper acknowledgment of the original source must be included in the figure/table legend or within the text, following the format required by the rights holder.
Authors are responsible for securing all necessary permissions and ensuring that reproduced or adapted materials comply with copyright laws and license terms. Proof of permission (e.g., a copy of the approval email or license document) should be uploaded in the “Supplemental file NOT for Review” section of the submission system.
If the reproduced content is licensed under Creative Commons (CC), please cite the original source and include the appropriate license statement (e.g., “Reproduced under CC BY 4.0 license”).
l Data Availability Statement
This journal is committed to a more open research landscape, facilitating faster and more effective research discovery by enabling reproducibility and verification of data, methodology and reporting standards. We encourage authors of articles published in our journals to share their research data including, but not limited to: raw data, processed data, software, algorithms, protocols, methods, materials.
All research- and synthesis-based articles must include a Data Availability Statement, whether or not the data used in the article is shared. Refer to the table below for guidance on our standardized data sharing policies:
