As a special painful form of pneumatosis cystica intestinorum for the first time in 1825. was described by Mauer, who was able to observe the formation of numerous, gas-containing brush on the serous membrane of the intestines of pigs. A number of further reports (Cloquet, Roth, Krummacher, Motz, Schmutzer, Heydemann, Kitt, Ostertag, Jaeger, etc.), it was found that such a pathological change in the intestines of pigs is not particularly rare and veterinary doctors often have to run into it in slaughterhouses ... Of other animals, this suffering is very rare (2 cases of Johne), even in sheep.

When starting work on the kidneys under the guidance of Professor Vladimir Nikolaevich Tonkov, I had in mind the following tasks:
1) to examine the number of patients, small cups and papillae in the kidneys,
2) find out the way of division of A. renalis in the hilus'e kidney,
3) to determine the mutual relation of renal vessels-arteries, veins and ureters in the renal hilus.

On April 13, I was invited to the Medical Department to examine a patient suspicious of leprosy. The examination was attended, besides me, by the city and district doctors, one of the free-practicing doctors and one military man. At the same time, there was a medical inspector Alexandrovich.

One of the parental committees, which are now with us, at secondary educational institutions, with the aim of comprehensively clarifying the educational role of the transitional exams, invited many scientific societies, including our Society of Physicians, to express their opinion on this issue, from the point of view, specifically medical.
