A multifunctional soil cultivating machine acting on the soil predominantly by extension deformations is proposed. Results of its tests as well as diagrams of advanced machines and fields of its application are presented.
A method of evaluation of elastic shafts dumping ratio is presented. It involves a procedure of preliminary calculation of dumping ratio according to the mass and geometric characteristics of the shaft and the damping coefficient of shaft material, as well as a procedure of experimental correction of previously calculated values. The introduced approach allows to find the dumping ratios of transmission elastic shafts with sufficiently high precision.
A fractal model of soil structure, namely particles consisting of uniform-sized balls, is considered. Parameters describing the concrete soil are determined.

A method of calculation for the moment of soil resistance to the rotation of rotary blade tool depending on an angle of rotation and on the maximum drive power is developed on the basis of suggested mathematical model of interaction of tool with the soil. This method allows to simplify the experiments on determination of power characteristics of the tool and to reduce their amount considerably. Due to the community of basic points the offered technique can be basically transferred on other rotary tools.
A mathematical model of tractor unit acceleration at the gear shift by means of frictional clutches is developed. On its basis analytical dependences for the determination of work and time of slippage of an engaged frictional clutch for any degree of gears overlapping and acceleration time on the given gear are calculated.
A promising trend of improvement of soil and moisture saving methods of the primary tillage on the slope soils is grounded. The diagram of a ridge-stubble coulisse is resulted and technological process of their formation and placement is described, allowing to fix the basis of erosion on all controlled plot of a slope.

Technological process of shaft correcting is considered as an object of polyvalent optimization. It is offered to set the conditions of shaft processing by an elastic-plastic bending. In this case the specified precision indices of correcting quality are achieved with minimal number of details loadings and thereby the process of correcting is optimized.
Ultrasonic method of diesel fuel treatment with the view of its low-temperature operation improvement is considered. It is established that viscosity of diesel fuel decreases with the increase of ultrasonic treatment duration and fuel temperature, what is proved with the efficiency of application of ultrasonic treatment in conditions of low temperatures.

It is established that this proportion depends on the grain yield and the price of grain.
Д-21А1 (2Ч 10.5/12.0) tractor diesel engine was researched for the improvement of ecological performance by methanol application with the use of double fuel supply system in Vyatka State Agricultural Academy. Possibility of improvement of ecological performance of a diesel engine, in particular the reduction of nitric oxides in exhaust gases, economy of diesel fuel and increase of effective results, is established.
