Invitation to the 6th Congress of the Chinese Chapter of
the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association

Dear Friends and Colleagues: 

    Since the Chinese Chapter of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (CCIHPBA) in 2004, five academic congresses have been successfully held in Wuhan and Shanghai, respectively with participation of more than 1000 delegates each. According to the conventions of the IHPBA, academic meeting is held once every two years. It is a great pleasure to extent our warmest invitation to the 6th Congress of the CCIHPBA to be held in Wuhan, China from Nov 14 to 16, 2014. At the same time, Commemorative Congress of Prof. Qiu Fa-zu’s 100th Birthday will be held. 

    A number of prestigious experts from both China and abroad will share their excellent experience and have discussions on hot topics in HPB field, including Prof. Henry Pitt (USA), Prof. William Chapman (USA), Prof. Hans Berger (Germany), Prof. Renzo Dionigi（Italy）, Prof. Christopher Christophi (Australia)，Prof. VK Kapoor（India）, Prof. Norihiro Kokudo（Japan）, Prof. Stephen CHANG(Singapore)；Prof. Meng-chao Wu, Prof. LAU, Joseph W.Y. (Hong Kong), Prof. Zhong-gao Wang, Prof. Yu-pei Zhao, Prof. Zhao-you Tang,  Prof. Xue-hao Wang, Shu-yong Peng and Prof. Shou-xian Zhong et al. We will share the experience of diagnose and treatment of HPB diseases, and update our knowledge about new theory, new technology and new method in HPB field. Meanwhile, the 6th Congress of National Forum of Directors of General Surgery and the 15th National Conference on Liver Surgery will also be held during the same period. Additionally, operative videos and live operating demonstration focusing on new techniques and advances in HPB field will be presented to the congress.
