Description
Frontiers of Engineering Management is a research journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, administered jointly by Higher Education Press, Tsinghua University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and published by Higher Education Press, China. The journal is international in its scope and mission. It is published quarterly in English in both print and online versions. Frontiers of Engineering Management provides a high-quality international platform for academic researchers, industry professionals and other constituent communities in the broad field of engineering management to impart and share the latest research results and knowledge in the form of research articles, reviews, letters and comments.
Frontiers of Engineering Management strives to promote the advancement of the science of engineering management, the improvement of the practice of engineering management, and the preparation of researchers and practitioners to address contemporary and future challenges in engineering management. The topics covered by the journal include general, specialty and cross-disciplinary studies in engineering management, both theoretical and applied, and studies related to engineering management education worldwide.
 
Aims and scope
Frontiers of Engineering Management announces a forthcoming issue on “Low-carbon Management”, targeting at how to devise the strategies for low-carbon management. Climate change is one of the greatest threat that mankind is facing today. Global cooperation has been undertaken to address climate change and establish the goal of controlling the surface temperature rise by no more than 2°C or even 1.5°C by the end of 2100. This has not only caused the establishment and development of the new international governance system, but also greatly promoted the revolutionary change of world's energy system towards low-carbon development. Low-carbon management thus becomes an emerging megatrend. Focusing on solving common and urgent issues such as greenhouse gases reduction from energy exploitation, conversion and utilization, which are commonly faced by industries, this special issue mainly explores how to realize the low-carbon management by fostering energy technology innovation and energy management performance promotion. In order to boost the low-carbon management, this special issue aims to cover the innovative research of theories, methods and practices of low-carbon management.
Topics to be covered include (but are not limited to) the following:
   ● Management issues in low-carbon demonstration projects
   ● Road map to low-carbon development
   ● Low-carbon industry transformation
   ● Low-carbon energy technology innovation
   ● Energy behavior and low-carbon management
   ● Impact of climate change on low-carbon development

All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the journal. Papers will be selected for publication following the outcome of the peer review process and subsequent decisions of the Guest Editors and the Editors-in-Chief.
