■Description
Frontiers of Engineering Management is a research journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, administered jointly by Tsinghua University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and published by Higher Education Press, China.  The journal is international in its scope and mission.  It is published quarterly in English in both print and online versions. Frontiers of Engineering Management provides a high-quality international platform for academic researchers, industry professionals and other constituent communities in the broad field of engineering management to impart and share the latest research results and knowledge in the form of research articles, reviews, letters and comments.
Frontiers of Engineering Management strives to promote the advancement of the science of engineering management, the improvement of the practice of engineering management, and the preparation of researchers and practitioners to address contemporary and future challenges in engineering management. The topics covered by the journal include general, specialty and cross-disciplinary studies in engineering management, both theoretical and applied, and studies related to engineering management education worldwide.

■Aims and scope
Today, the world is going through the era of big data when decision makers are overloaded with unstructured data and try to make right decision in the fluctuating world. Most of the time data need validation, collation, and structuralisation. Well-structured, correctly analyzed at the right time, data will help in choosing priorities, detecting threats and finding ways of development. Meanwhile, many decisions are still made under uncertainty and without proper risk management.
Series of recent economic crises in the mix with technogenic catastrophes and natural disasters point out the needs of developing cutting edge approaches and strategies for designing state-of-the-art tools and methods in supporting decisions.

The special issue of “Frontiers of Engineering Management” is intending to provide space for exploring new ideas, concepts and investigations on the theme “Decision, Risk Analytics and Data Intelligence”. High-quality submissions are invited for the special issue that addresses the research in risk analysis, data-driven decision making using intelligence techniques.

Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:

   ●  Intelligent risk analysis methods and models
   ●  Measures and metrics for risk management
   ●  Intelligent data analysis and deep learning
   ●  Models for data-based analytical decisions
   ●  Decision Support Systems
   ●  Data-mining theory and algorithms for improving business performance
   ●  Multiple criteria decision making
   ●  Risk analytics in operations management
   ●  Service system engineering and risks
   ●  Data analytics in financial engineering
   ●  Catastrophe management with  risk analytics and data intelligence
   ●  Other issues related to decision, risk analytics and data intelligence
