Near-net shaping technology has attracted increasing attention in both academic and industrial communities. In today’s society, it has become more and more important to use raw materials and energy in an optimal way. The use of near-net shaping technology, being defined as an environmentally conscious manufacturing technology, used optimally, can save much materials and energy. This special issue is seeking for papers on recent research and development on near-net shaping technology.
We invite authors to submit original research to this Special Issue in following potential topics. The topics will include, but not limited to:
● Near-net Shape Casting
● Near-net Shape Forging
● Near-net Shape laser and plasma processing
● Advanced Materials for Near-net Shaping
● Simulations and Calculations for Near-net Shaping
● Engineering Applications
Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering is an international peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal seeks to provide a forum for a broad blend of high-quality academic papers in order to promote rapid communication and exchange between researchers, scientists, and engineers in the field of mechanical engineering.
